Independent music project / archive
Basement Mouse began as a name for music created in a small basement studio — a place for experiments, half-finished ideas, late-night sessions and sounds that never needed to fit anywhere else.
Origin
Basement Mouse was created years ago as an alter ego for a parallel strand of music production. The name came directly from the place itself: a compact studio built in the basement, separated from the main room and free from expectations.
The project remained mostly dormant while other productions took different directions. This site keeps the name alive as an open archive — not a catalogue pretending that everything was finished, but a place where fragments, sounds and future releases can eventually surface.
Ideas, motifs and unfinished pieces worth keeping.
Recordings born from late hours and small rooms.
Textures, signal paths, noise and studio accidents.
A dormant alias can still become a new release.
“Some projects are released.
Others simply wait in the room.”
